The Founding Story of Tuwe Bora.
In the year 2019, a compassionate and determined woman named Linda Sigilai embarked on a journey that would change the lives of countless women and families forever. Tuwe Bora had humble beginnings, born as an intuitive response to address the challenges faced by first-time young mothers. Linda, herself a mother who had experienced the joys and struggles of motherhood, understood the difficulties that these women encountered.
She realized that the challenges faced by young mothers were often interconnected with broader societal issues, and one group, in particular, caught her attention – formerly imprisoned women.
Drawing from her own experiences, Linda took it upon herself to offer mentorship and practical assistance to these young mothers. She started organizing workshops and support groups to create a safe and nurturing environment where these women could share their experiences, seek advice, and develop the necessary skills to be successful mothers.
As the impact of Tuwe Bora’s initiatives grew, Linda’s passion for making a difference intensified. She realized that the challenges faced by young mothers were often interconnected with broader societal issues, and one group, in particular, caught her attention – formerly imprisoned women. These women, who had already faced significant hardships, struggled to reintegrate into society and provide for their families.
With unwavering determination, Linda decided to expand Tuwe Bora’s mission and focus on helping formerly imprisoned women and their families. She believed that by empowering these women with education, skills training, and employment opportunities, she could break the cycle of recidivism and foster positive transformation within families and communities.
As Tuwe Bora’s impact continued to ripple through the lives of the women they supported, the organization gained recognition for its transformative work.
Today, Tuwe Bora stands tall as a beacon of hope and empowerment, lifting women from the shadows of adversity and enabling them to craft their own destinies. Under Linda Sigilai’s visionary leadership, Tuwe Bora continues to grow and evolve, leaving a trail of transformed lives and shattered barriers in its wake.
